Chelsea midfielder Romeo Lavia was proud making his debut in victory over Crystal Palace.

While there was an injury scare for Lavia, he gave no indication the knock was serious when taking to social media to celebrate a belated first appearance.

He posted: "The journey spent coming back made me even more grateful for this moment.

"It's been a tough few months, but I'm happy and grateful to be back on the pitch with my team.

"Thank you for all the support Blues, it's an honour to finally wear this shirt #CFC [blue circle emoji]."
