Chelsea manager Tuchel praises 'underrated' Brighton: They deserve more points

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel was impressed with the football played by Brighton at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.

The Blues crept into the Premier League top four with a 0-0 draw in the fixture, but were made to work for a point by a spirited Brighton side.

Despite being near the relegation spots, Brighton have performed admirably all season, only to miss most of their chances in front of goal.

The Blues could easily have lost the game at home, with Danny Welbeck hitting the post for Brighton in the second half.

"Brighton were very strong," acknowledged Tuchel afterwards, per the club website.

"I know that they are a very underrated team because they deserve a lot more points than they have and they have a lot of individual quality.

"They have a very unique style of playing which makes it difficult to create chances, they defend very strong, almost man-mark over the whole pitch, and that created a lot of problems for us and we could not find the answers to it."
