Chelsea manager Lampard unsure if Giroud will start against Leeds

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard does not know if Olivier Giroud has worked his way to a starting spot for their next Premier League game.

The Blues take on Leeds United in the Premier League over the weekend.

Giroud started against Sevilla in the Champions League on Wednesday.

He scored four goals in a 4-0 away win, and may have earned himself a spot in the starting lineup for the home Premier League clash on Saturday.

Lampard told BT Sport about Giroud starting against Leeds: "We'll have to see – it's a tight turnaround but it's four goals in a game.

"It's not just his performance but when you play him and utilise his strengths and his speed, there's a real balance in the rest of the team."
