Chelsea are making adjustments for this summer's preseason visit to the US.
Last year, the squad travelled from coast to coast across all six US time zones, with the players complaining of fatigue by the end.
This time, Chelsea plan to use a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania base to stay on the east coast. The tour will include a friendly against Wrexham, co-owned by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, at Kenan Memorial Stadium in Chapel Hill, North Carolina on July 19.
Chelsea football operations chief Dave Barnard told London is Blue: “One thing is from a football perspective. We have to ensure that preparation for the Premier League is first then we bolt on all our commercial activity and everything around it to generate the name of Chelsea.
"We try to find the best training facilities and the NFL teams have the best facilities."
