Chelsea have recalled Cesare Casadei from his loan with Leicester City to add to manager Mauricio Pochettino's squad.

Blues management saw enough of the midfielder with Foxes to be convinced he can break into Pochettino's XI for the remainder of the season.

Casadei made 25 appearances in all competitions for the Foxes, scoring three goals.

He was to play out the season in the Championship, but the decision was made to cut it short by six months.

Casadei is yet to make his debut for Chelsea, having signed in 2021 from Inter Milan.
