Chelsea loanee Angban: I want to stay at Metz

Chelsea loanee Victorien Angban wants to stay at Metz next season.

The Ivory Coast star enjoyed a great season with the club in Ligue 2, which helped them gain promotion to the top flight in France.

Now the 22 year old, who played 27 games in the season, wants to stay there for another term.

It is unclear if Chelsea will agree to another loan or if Metz will have to find the money, reportedly near €6 million, to sign him permanently.

"I feel good here on a personal level," Angban told Goal.com.

"I hope everything will be fine. Currently I'm still waiting to hear from Metz and their option [to make my move permanent]. The higher-ups at the club are in talks with Chelsea to try and keep me.

"If both parties agree, I would like to stay. I want to play in Ligue 1 with Metz. Chelsea followed me with regularity, they called me a lot, but the chiefs at Metz want me absolutely. I hope that they will come to an agreement."
