Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri will have had 'a successful season' if the club wins the Europa League trophy.

That is according to club legend Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

The Blues have already qualified for the Champions League by finishing third, but Hasselbaink thinks some silverware will make it a great debut season for the Italian.

"At the start of the season a Champions League place was the aim and [Sarri] has got that in finishing in third," the former Blues striker Sky Sports.

"They had the League Cup final - that they lost to Man City on penalties - and the FA Cup, where they (reached the fifth round).

"If they win the Europa League final it's been a successful season for Chelsea."
