Chelsea defender Tomori on AC Milan move: I'm happy; I'm learning Italian

AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori says he's settling in and already learning Italian.

The on-loan Chelsea stopper has quickly established himself in Milan's starting XI since his arrival last week. He's already managed three appearances for the Rossonero, twice in Serie A and once in the Coppa Italia.

After victory over Crotone on Sunday, Tomori was quoted by TMW saying: "I really like being here, I'm happy to have joined a great team.

"I'm learning the language and game after game I try to improve myself. All matches are important."

Victory over Crotone, with Tomori helping his new team to a clean sheet for the 4-0 win, saw Milan return to the summit of the Serie A standings.

The England international said: "This was an important win to take us back to the lead and continue step by step."

Tomori's loan deal with Milan runs to the end of the season and includes a permanent option. His contract with Chelsea expires in 2024.

Already a first-choice for Milan coach Stefano Pioli, the 23 year-old struggled for minutes in the first-half of the season at Chelsea. Tomori only seeing first team action four times before his switch to Italy.
