Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho believes that his side are slowly finding a defensive solidity after their 0-0 draw away at Dynamo Kiev on Tuesday night.
Chelsea have started the season very poorly by their standards but having now kept two consecutive clean sheets and the Portuguese manager felt that his side showed signs of developing the sort of defensive unity that they have lacked so far this season.
Mourinho said: "We are recovering some of our compactness, solidarity, effort and tactical discipline.
"Those qualities are very important when you are not flying, scoring goals or playing with confidence or flair. So in three days, two solid performances are good for us.
"We hit the post twice, we had a great chance for Nemanja Matic, and a solid defensive performance against a dangerous team. To lose this game would have been really bad for us. But it was a good performance, with everybody fighting for each other."
