Chelsea are on the verge of signing Danilo from Real Madrid.

The Brazilian is wanted as competition for Victor Moses, who starred as a makeshift fullback for the Blues last season.

The Sun reports that Chelsea are preparing to offer Los Blancos a fee of £31m for the 25-year old.

Danilo was used sparingly by Zinedine Zidane last season, making 25 appearances across all competitions.

However, Real do not feel they need to sell the player that they paid Porto £23m for back in 2015.

Florentino Perez is hoping he can start a bidding war for Danilo, with Italian champions Juventus having also shown an interest.

Either way, Danilo will push to leave the Bernabeu as he tries to force his way into Tite's World Cup squad for next year.
