Chelsea captain John Terry is backing Roy Hodgson's England side to perform well at Euro2016.
The 35-year-old was a part of Hodgson's squad which bowed out to Italy on penalties in the quarter-finals of the 2012 edition of the tournament.
Cahill feels Hodgson has the players at his disposal capable of making it through to the knockout stages in France this summer.
"I've just seen the boys and wished them well, they're staying at my hotel," he said.
"I think they'll do very well - the most important thing is to get a good start, get out the group.
"You need a bit of luck at tournaments so hopefully we'll get a good draw and then who knows from then on."
