Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri lamented the absence of Pedro as his side dropped their first points of the season.
The Blues were held to a 0-0 draw by West Ham United on Sunday.
A draw means that Chelsea are now two points off Liverpool in the race for the title.
And Sarri believes Pedro's absence was a factor.
"Pedro for us is very important, because he is the best player we have with movement without the ball," he said to Chelsea's official website after the game.
"We are trying to have him back for the end of the week, but I don't know at the moment."
