Chelsea boss Graham Potter has backed Manchester United counterpart Erik ten Hag leaving Cristiano Ronaldo out of the squad for their Saturday afternoon.
Ten Hag confirmed in his pre-match press conference earlier today (Friday) that Ronaldo would not be travelling with the rest of the squad after his actions on Wednesday. Ronaldo walked down the tunnel before the full-time whistle at Old Trafford as United beat Tottenham 2-0, where he was unused substitute on the night.
Potter said: "I can't really comment, he's [Ten Hag] taken his stance.
"Then you need the club to support. It's difficult for me to comment because I don't really know what's happened, I don't want to go off headlines."
