Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink says Papy Djilobodji needed his loan move this week.

Hiddink spoke of Djilobodji's loan move to Werder Bremen, which was announced on Thursday.

"He's still under contract to Chelsea but with those players it's important they get minutes and play," said the Blues boss.

"He's gone to a league I like and respect very much. It's very intense, he's gone to a good club and we will follow him closely. It's good for him to get experience."
