RB Leipzig striker Christopher Nkunku has suffered a heavy blow after his injury was assessed this week.

A training ground injury saw Nkunku forced out of France's World Cup squad with a knee strain.

And scans say the striker will now need four months to recover, says L'Equipe.

Nkunku is expected to be moving to Chelsea in January, though that could now be shelved due to his injury news.

The France international could eventually move to London in June.
