Celtic striker Scott McDonald is keen for the club to push clear of title rivals Rangers on top of the Scottish Premier League table. The Australian international knows this weekend presents a great opportunity for the Hoops to maintain or better their two-point gap on their Glasgow enemies when they face 6th placed Aberdeen at Celtic Park and after a midweek Europa League win, the players certainly have some confidence going in to Saturday's match.
"It was great to get a win in Europe midweek, even though our run in the competition ended," McDonald told tribalfootball.com.
"Now, as a group, we need to take that form into Saturday against Aberdeen and either keep our lead on Rangers or push further ahead, depending on what happens in their game of course."
