In-form Celtic striker Gary Hooper feels he can now afford to think about the possibility of representing England.
The 24-year old has been a prolific goalscorer for the Hoops since joining from Scunthorpe United in 2010, netting close to 50 Scottish Premier League goals in just under 70 appearances.
Last night, Hooper opened the scoring as Celtic beat Spartak Moscow 3-2 in the Champions League and now he knows he is capable at that level, he admits he is eyeing an England call-up.
"Now that I'm scoring goals at this level maybe I can wonder about being considered for England," he said.
"The important thing for me is to keep doing it at this level.
"It can't harm my chances to score against international defenders but it's not my decision to make. I just need to let them decide and wait for it."
