Celtic intent on achieving cup success - Commons

Kris Commons insists Celtic are determined to win the Scottish Cup this season.

The Hoops take on Dundee United in the semi-final on Sunday and despite the fact they are on the verge of securing the Scottish Premier League title, Commons says they are eager to clinch another piece of silverware and celebrate a brilliant season which included a decent Champions League.

"I don't think anyone expected us to go as far as we did in Europe. That was a bonus," Commons told Sky Sports.

"But for us not to try and take all three trophies was disappointing but hopefully we can get the league wrapped up and get to the final and give ourselves the opportunity to do the double this year.

"They [Dundee United] have got some quality players, they are dangerous but we know if we play to our capabilities and bring our A game then it will be really tough for them, but that is one thing saying it and another doing it."
