Celtic await planning approval for new training facility

Celtic are set to develop its training facilities for its women's and youth teams, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.

The Scottish champions have applied for planning permission and are currently waiting for a verdict from Glasgow City Council.

The Barrowfield site, which is located near to the men's home ground Celtic Park, will see new pitches, grandstand facilities and a gym all implemented.

A statement on the club website read: 'The intended re-development of the Barrowfield site, located near to Celtic Park, would see Celtic unveil another first class training facility, including one of the largest indoor football arenas in Scotland.'
