A return to Paris has been ruled out and instead negotiations have kicked off with Celta Vigo, says La Voz de Galicia.

Celta have first made direct contact with Areola to convince him about a return to Spain ahead of sounding out PSG about a loan arrangement.

Before joining Fulham, Areola spent the previous season in Spain with Real Madrid.
