Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has praised Roberto Firmino's performance in the Capital One Cup and has assured Liverpool fans they have a lot to look forward to.
Firmino joined the Anfield side from Hoffenheim in the summer and showed glimpses of the class that sparked the move in the 1-0 victory over Bournemouth.
Speaking on Sky Sports as a pundit, Carragher said: "You're not expecting new players into this league to be absolute superstars, but for him that was a sign tonight that there is a player there. "
"We still want him to improve, want him to do it in big games against better opposition. But tonight was a start for him. He was the standout player on the pitch. Everything came through him."
