CAPITAL ONE CUP SEMI-FINAL: Swansea strike two-goal advantage over Chelsea

Swansea City have beaten Chelsea 2-0 in the first leg of the Capital One Cup semi-final.

Star attacker Michu was at it again for the Swans, scoring his 16th goal of the campaign, before his replacement Danny Graham added a second in injury-time to give the Welsh side every chance of progressing to the February 24 final.

Two massive errors from Blues defender Branislav Ivanovic handed the Swans both goals with his failure to control a ball on the edge of the area inviting Michu to fire home before an errant backpass allowed sub Graham to pounce and score a second.

Chelsea could have been slightly unlucky not to be awarded a penalty when winter signing Demba Ba went down in the area but the former Newcastle United man was booked for diving as Rafael Benitez's men now have to overcome a two-goal deficit to Michael Laudrup's Swans.

The second leg will be played at the Liberty Stadium on Wednesday January 23.
