Capello backing Juventus to go for Man City outcast Phillips, Sassuolo's Berardi

Former Juventus coach Fabio Capello wants to see them active in the January market.

Capello feels strengthening the team will give Juve the push to challenge Inter Milan for the title.

He told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "Not having the commitment of the European Cups is not a small detail and in the long run it can guarantee you 6-7 points more in the standings than rivals who play every three days.

"But Inter is the big favourite for the title: it has a wide and quality squad. But let's wait to see if - and how - Juventus will exploit the January market.

"(Manchester City's Kalvin) Phillips in the English national team and in his Leeds' time has always seemed like a complete midfielder. And so (Tottenham'sPierre) Hojbjerg is.

"(Sassuolo's Domenico) Berardi is the fantasist that (coach Max) Allegri misses: Domenico, if you move, serves you well.

"It would be an added value for Juventus. What a trio with (Dusan) Vlahovic and (Fede) Chiesa: Dusan and Federico don't seem to me off, the goals will return."
