Agent Dario Canovi can't say he was surprised by Italy's defeat in England.

While Atalanta striker Gianluca Scamacca had the visitors ahead, England won their Euro qualifier 3-1 on Tuesday night.

Canovi told TMW: “Italy's defeat? All normal. We are not at the level of the important teams.

“This is the result of an Italian football full of problems."

He added: “Maybe we will qualify in the end. But unless some talent is born, we won't get very far. Even though the coach is one of the best in the world."
