Ballon d'Or winner Fabio Cannavaro is backing Napoli to win the Europa League.

The former centre-back lifted the trophy with Parma in 1999.

“I was the last to win what was still the UEFA Cup in 1999," Cannavaro told Il Mattino.

“I was at Parma, and at that time we dominated the UEFA Cup like the Spaniards do now. I don't know why, over time, Italian teams have snubbed this competition, although it's certainly tiring.

“Winning it brings great joy though, and Napoli have all the means to do that."
