Cagliari president Tommaso Giulini is reluctant to lose Godfred Donsah this summer.
The teenage Ghanaian midfielder has been a revelation this season and his form has attracted interest from the Premier League.
Manchester City, Tottenham and Arsenal have all been linked with Donsah this week.
Giulini remarked: "Even Arsenal was here to see him, but I want to keep him here at least another year:
"Cagliari must stay up so to continue to develop these young people. For his career path, it is better to stay here one more season."
