Summer signing Caglar Soyuncu was given a full 90 by Leicester City U23 coach Steve Beaglehole for last night's 4-1 win over Blackburn Rovers.
The Turkey international was not tested too often as Beaglehole's youngsters dominated, but there was enough defensive labour to be done for Soyuncu to enjoy a proper work-out.
Raúl Uche Rubio, Bartosz Kapustka and Layton Ndukwu (2) found the net for the Foxes as they doubled their Premier League 2 points tally to climb to second place on Monday evening.
Reflecting on the result at full-time, Beaglehole said: “It reminded me of last season because there wasn't many occasions last season when we didn't play exciting football like that.
“We created chances, scored some wonderful goals, and we started very well and we had a settled side, a group of players who showed fluidity and organisation.
“I was very impressed with Layton, there is no doubting his ability, he has a wonderful touch and he's come up with the end product tonight after hitting the woodwork a few times."
