Turkish club Bursaspor are likely to come back with a new bid for Rangers wingback Steven Whittaker.
Bursa' had an offer of around £450,000 turned down earlier this week with some reports suggesting they may return with as much as £1million for the 26-year old who can also play in midfield.
'Gers boss Ally McCoist is aware of the interest from the club who signed Kenny Miller in January but says he has no plans to offload Whittaker.
"I can confirm we had an offer from Bursaspor," he told the Daily Express.
"I took a phone call from director Andrew Dickson to tell me about it. He didn't even tell me the figures involved because I told him that I wasn't interested in selling Steven.
"I have made it clear that Steven is one of the players I see as part of my long-term plans for the club.
"That is why we have opened talks with his representatives to extend his current contract."
