Burnley defender Beyer: We're building towards beating Man Utd

Burnley defender Jordan Beyer believes they can put in a good showing against Manchester United on Saturday.

The Clarets, who are among the favorites for relegation this season, have struggled so far this season in the Premier League.

However, Beyer feels they can put a lot right as they host United in the late kickoff on Saturday.

He stated to club media: “It was not an easy start I would say. We had three tough opponents, the first three matchdays were City, Villa and Tottenham.

“Three of the 6/7/8 top clubs I would say but I think even though the results were pretty harsh, we still weren't far off it, it was only small things that were wrong.

“However, in this league the small things make a difference and if you play against teams like this they will just go and use everything they have, every mistake they will punish us for.

“That's what basically happened the first three games, but I think the game against Nottingham gave us a confidence boost. We could see that we can compete at this level.

“Even though we are sad that we couldn't take all of the three points, it was only a draw, but I still think it's a first point, so we got a little bit of pressure off our chest now.

“Even though the results haven't been there, we're on a good path, we're on a good way, and for me it's just enjoying playing in the Premier League.

“It's nothing I can take for granted so I try to do my best and I think from here on we're only going to improve as a team, as a person, so we go from here."
