Burnley boss Sean Dyche happy with victory over Parma

Burnley boss Sean Dyche was happy with their friendly defeat of Parma.

Jay Rodriguez's second half brace finally unlocked the defence of an Italian side who put up far more resistance than Nice in midweek.

And Dyche is happy at the way his players have ramped up ahead of the Premier League curtain raiser at home to Southampton next weekend.

The Burnley boss said: “I'm pleased overall, and with many things. It's nice to get the results and the winning mentality going, but you do want to be happy with the fitness and organisation and all the good habits.

“There was a lot on show today and there has been in the last few games. We have built into it and delivered again today.

“The big thing is when you look at the number of changes we've made, but in every game and whatever team we've put out, they have looked connected.

“That's a hard thing to find, so I am really pleased with that."
