Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon has backed their move for Palermo striker Amauri.

"Having seen the talent he has and the performances that he puts in he is clearly amongst the best strikers in Serie A," he said.

"Whoever manages to sign him will have a great addition and he would be good for the national side alongside the likes of Luca Toni, Fabio Quagliarella and Alberto Gilardino."
