Bristol City boss Nigel Pearson expressed his disappointment at losing Alex Scott this late in the transfer window.
Per the Daily Echo, the deal has been sealed for around £20 million, with Bristol City getting close to their initial asking price for Scott.
Pearson told reporters: “The club has given Alex permission for that (to hold talks with Cherries) and I really don't have anything more to say on it.
“I've been planning to keep him.
“It's nothing to do with me, it's a club decision.
“I'm disappointed because we've got a better chance of being successful if we keep our best players."
“I've got nothing to say really, the club has given him permission, so that's that.
“I've got no comment.
“I couldn't give you the details, I knew today (Wednesday) and that's it.
“I'm not saying anymore."
