Brisbane Roar sign Universidad de Costa Rica midfielder Bryce

Costa Rica international Steven Bryce has joined Brisbane Roar.

Hot on the heels of snaring Belgian defender Pieter Collen, the Roar have enticed experienced attacking midfielder Bryce to Brisbane for the remainder of their campaign. He replaces Scottish import Bob Malcolm.

Bryce was a member of Costa Rica's 2002 World Cup squad in South Korea and Japan, making three appearances off the bench.

"I had two assists, one versus Brazil, one versus Turkey," he proudly recalled to the Courier Mail.

Bryce has also played in Greece and Cyprus, with his most recent club stint being with Universidad de Costa Rica.

"I heard that Brisbane has a vision with what I'm looking for also in my career," he said.

"I think it's God who opened the doors and here we are speaking."
