Brighton striker Welbeck: Evan a natural predator

Brighton and Hove Albion attacker Danny Welbeck has been helping a young teammate this season.

The 32-year-old is now considered a veteran of the sport, having played for the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal.

Welbeck has been hugely impressed with the emergence of teenager Evan Ferguson within the first team.

Per The Argus, Welbeck said: “Evan is a natural predator. He's been training with us for over a year, it's been incredible and we are all buzzing for him. We root for him, push him to get better every day."

He then added: “We speak about everything, he always asks questions, I´m always there to give advice, I´m obviously experienced a lot and it's valuable to pass that along.

“It´s an unbelievable, I´ve been for three seasons now and we finally reach Europe.

“Unbelievable for the whole of Brighton, whole community, fans, staff, players, credit to everyone. We are delighted to bring European nights.

“We´ve improved season upon season and with the mentality and the culture in the club everyone is always willing to improve, working hard and I can't see why that can´t continue next season."
