Brighton star Pascal Gross believes that youngster Evan Ferguson is coming for his record.

Ferguson scored an impressive hat trick against Newcastle United in a 3-1 win in the Premier League.

Gross is the top scorer for Brighton in the Premier League with 27 goals, but knows that tally won't last for long.

Asked about Ferguson reaching that mark, per The Argus, Gross said: "Big chances! He is a goalscorer.

“The way he scored here we see every day in training. He is a natural goalscorer. Unbelievable finishes.

“He has a lot, he can finish with left or right and he is strong, quick and his hold up play was all very good.

“He is really young, improving every day here with the gaffer and it helps him a lot."
