Brighton pursue interest in Rangers captain Tavernier

Brighton remain interested in Rangers fullback James Tavernier.

Yesterday, Gers boss Steven Gerrard warned the Seagulls they would need to pay an exorbitant price for the club captain.

According to Sky Sports, those comment have deterred the Premier League club from pursuing their interest in the Newcastle United youth product.

With 37-year-old Bruno out of contract at the end of the season, manager Chris Hughton is keen to stock up at right-back.
