Brighton fans showed support to Caicedo during victory over Bournemouth

Brighton fans showed their support for wantaway midfielder Moises Caicedo during victory over Bournemouth.

Caicedo received warm applause from the Albion supporters as he returned to the Amex following recent transfer speculation, says The Argus.

Caicedo replaced Billy Gilmour in the 57th minute in Albion's late victory against Bournemouth.

The Albion faithful made it clear they had not turned on Caicedo, clapping him and singing his name as he entered the pitch.

Roberto De Zerbi decided to bench the Ecuadorian, despite missing Adam Lallana in midfield due to injury and Alexis Mac Allister being suspended for the match.

Before the game, the Italian asked fans to support the Arsenal target.

De Zerbi said: “I want to speak to my fans because I want them to support him."
