Brighton defender Ben White admits he is devastated as the Three Lions lost the Euro 2020 final on penalties.

England took the lead early in the game at Wembley on Sunday through Luke Shaw's third minute goal.

But they could not capitalise on that momentum and eventually let in an Italian equalizer.

The Azzurri were the more assured on penalties, with Bukayo Saka missing the decisive spot kick for England.

White tweeted post-game: "What to say. Gutted is an understatement. I have never been as proud of a group of people as I have with this lot.

"To spend six weeks with them has been the best time of my short career and I've loved every minute of it.

"All I can say is thank you for all your support and I promise you we will come back stronger and even better. This is just the start!!"
