Brighton defender Webster: De Zerbi changing our style

Brighton defender Adam Webster wants to do what he can to get the team's dangermen on the ball.

The ball-playing defender knows that he has to play a slightly different way under new boss Roberto De Zerbi.

He believes that his work on the ball can help the more creative players on the team get in possession sooner and in more dangerous areas.

The defender said, per The Argus: “He is going to have his own ideas, which he is getting across to us.

“It is going to take time to pick it up.

“But you can see it coming out already, some really nice patterns.

“It's just lacking that last, killer pass.

“He wants us to dictate play from the back and it is all about how we react to the pressure which is coming on us to make spaces and get our No.10s on the ball, get the midfielders on the ball.

“We have to take risks but, as long as we are in the right positions, we can get out."
