Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi admits they were poor for defeat at Fulham.

The Seagulls struggled on the day as they were hammered 3-0.

De Zerbi said, "We didn't play well, we deserved to lose.

"We are in a tough period with a lot of injuries and a lot of games. We knew before the season started that this season could be so tough.

"The level is changing and it's a challenge for us. To keep this level we have to push every day and every game to compete in a lot of competitions.

"We lost in the FA Cup on Wednesday, today in the Premier League and on Thursday we're in the Europa. We are learning if we can keep this level or if we need to go back to one game a week.

"This is not just about the level of the players but also the staff, the coaches, video analysts, everyone who works at Brighton. We have to show character and passion otherwise we can't stay at this level."
