Brighton boss De Zerbi: Verbruggen destined for big things

Brighton shot stopper Bart Verbruggen has been told he can become a world class player.

The youngster is not first choice at the Albion, with Jason Steele in goal for the last three games.

Verbruggen has been especially protected from away games, with Steele starting all five of those in all competitions.

Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi said: “Jason can play five a row and Bart seven in a row or ten in a row Jason and two Bart.

“We have to be honest. Bart can become one of the best keepers in Europe, I think, but Jason understands our idea of football.

“The best solution is to give the new players the right time to understand the system better."
