Brighton and Germany star Pascal Gross has made a strong case to his new international boss for playing regularly.
The midfielder was outstanding for the upcoming Euro 2024 hosts in a friendly against the United States.
Coming in for Joshua Kimmich, Gross helped Germany boss the game and win 3-1 against their spirited hosts.
Post-game, new coach Julian Nagelsmann said: "He has the glow in his eyes.
“For him, the national team is something special. He's on fire.
"Pascal is a very smart and intelligent footballer.
“He is brave and has a good counter-pressing. He can play many positions."
