Brentford are close to announcing the acquisition of Christian Eriksen.
The Danish star, who suffered a cardiac arrest at Euro 2020, was released by Inter Milan last month.
Eriksen has an ICD device fitted in his heart, but players cannot participate in Serie A under those circumstances.
According to Sky Sports, Brentford have done the relevant medical checks, and are set to sign Eriksen on a six-month contract.
The 29-year-old does not believe he is putting himself at risk, and England rules states that athletes make their own decisions about whether to play on with such heart conditions.
