Brentford midfielder Sergi Canos says he's feeling better about his form this season.

The Spaniard has been working his way back into the Bees XI in recent weeks.

He told Marca: "I'm very happy, little by little I'm playing minutes and recovering the competitive rhythm that recurring inconveniences took away from me."

Canos says his background with Barcelona and Liverpool has helped him handle any setback he receives at senior level.

"You have to be very strong mentally because during the recovery you fight against yourself and your thoughts. It has cost me more to come back from this injury than the one with the cruciate ligament because, when it seemed that I was recovering, I fell again, like that on several occasions."
