Brentford midfielder Mathias Jensen says he never had doubts Christian Eriksen would get back to his best.
Before joining Manchester United, Eriksen had six months with the Bees after recovering from a cardiac arrest in the 2021 summer Euros.
Jensen recalled: "It was a big transfer for the club, and although people had doubts about how he was physically after what had happened, I had no doubts.
"Everyone had seen what he delivered for Tottenham for seven years, and of course he was out for six months, but he wasn't really injured, it wasn't like a normal injury.
"I thought it was very good for the team. We were in a tough period as well, so it just helped us and gave us a boost because he hadn't been part of that tough period, so he just came in with a lot of energy.
"He was really ready and just enjoyed his game more than ever before, so I was happy about that."
