Brentford defender Mads Bech moves to Nice

Brentford defender Mads Bech has joined OGC Nice on loan.

The 23-year-old has made three appearances for Brentford so far this season.

He will now resume the campaign in France, with Nice facing Monaco this weekend.

Brentford director Phil Giles said: "Mads has done a great job for us, particularly in the past couple of seasons. We have added to our defensive options this summer, especially in the centre of defence and it was looking likely that game time for Mads may be limited. We discussed with him whether a loan might be the best option.

"This is a great opportunity for him. He is going to a top flight club in a top European league and will have to fight for his place in the team. There will be some fantastic games for him to be involved in and a chance to experience a different environment. I wish Mads all the best and look forward to watching his progress."
