Brentford boss Frank: Wolves won fair and square

Brentford boss Thomas Frank admits defeat to Wolves wasn't good enough.

Wolves were comfortable 4-1 winners on Wednesday night.

Frank said, "We lost the game fair and square. It was not a 4-1 defeat, we made two big mistakes which doesn't help us and we conceded two other goals we definitely could avoid but let's give a bit of credit to Wolves.

"Besides that, we did a lot of things right. We performed well, we just made too many big mistakes that killed the game.

“I learnt this in England - when it rains it pours. This moment in time it doesn't go our way. We had so many promising attacks and big chances that could have given us a little bit. But it didn't. It's normal like this when things go against you that you need to show resilience and toughness."

On suffering their sixth defeat in seven games, Frank added: “It's the first time we've lost by more than one goal if you take Liverpool and Everton out of the equation. You can easily say two of the goals were very avoidable, then you never know how the game goes so this was a hard one because the performance was good, but big mistakes.

"We just need to put in the good performance and things will turn around."
