Brentford boss Frank fumes: Diver Havertz should've been sent off

Brentford boss Thomas Frank branded Kai Havertz a diver and should've been sent off before he scored Arsenal's winner after Saturday's 2-1 defeat.

Frank is adamant Havertz shouldn't have been on the pitch before he struck his 86th minute goal.

He said: "It seems to be the story of our season. We put an unbelievable shift in, fantastic fight.

"We came to the in-form team in the Premier League and we kept them on the minimum. That is almost a defensive masterclass. You could actually argue we probably had the better chances before they scored to go 2-1 up.

"They [the players] were very angry because they felt they were hard done by with the penalty shout with Havertz. You can see the angles, it was clearly a dive. That was a second yellow and then it is 11 v 10.

"I think that was a crucial moment in the game. I hope they admit they got something with them there, because last time there was a lot of complaint about a VAR situation marginally going our way. Hopefully they remember that when they talk after the game.

"Arsenal are a fantastic team, they are doing a top job. We came here with a lot of injuries, no complaints, just even more impressive with our players. Wow."
