Wigan defenders Titus Bramble and Emmerson Boyce have signed new contract extensions with the Latics. New boss Roberto Martinez told the club's official website: "When you look at the performances of the two players over recent seasons it's a great reward from the club to offer them contract extensions.
"They're real ambassadors for the club and great professionals who give you a good sense of continuity and competitiveness.
"They offer stability, set themselves high standards and are excellent examples to follow.
"Both are at a great moment in their careers and I think they're best years are still to come, so we're very lucky to have players of that calibre."
"I've been really happy here, and I feel really settled," Bramble said.
"I never wanted to go anywhere else and I'm really looking forward to the new season. These are exciting times for the club and I'm glad to be a part of it."
Boyce is excited at the prospect of working under Martinez, who moved to the JJB Stadium from Swansea last month.
Boyce said: "I've been impressed with the new manager and he has brought a lot of energy into the club with him.
"Swansea City received a lot of plaudits last season about how well they played and you can only assume he wants to bring that style of play to Wigan Athletic - I'm really happy to be a part of it."
