Bradley Dack: What they say about the Blackburn Rovers talisman

Blackburn Rovers talisman Bradley Dack has enjoyed an excellent past two seasons making a name for himself as an outstanding midfield goalscorer.

After smashing 15 in Blackburn's return to the 2nd tier in 18/19 - his debut season in the Championship - he is fast becoming one of the league's star names.

The 25 year-old says he bases his game on Frank Lampard, but his all-time hero is Steven Gerrard.

No wonder then, he is being eyed up by Premier League big hitters, with both Brighton and Crystal Palace eyeing a swoop for the Ewood Park fans' favourite.

Here's what some have had to say about Dack during his career:

TONY MOWBRAY (Blackburn Rovers manager): “He's a brilliant kid, a joy to work with and wants to win every five-a-side match as well as every game.

"He's someone who scores the goals without playing as a striker, without that number 9 on his back.

"He plays deep, he battles for the team and gets in the six-yard box to get goals."

DANNY GRAHAM (Blackburn Rovers striker): “I'd seen clips of him, so I knew what he was about. And I could see from two or three sessions in pre-season last year that he's a special player and hopefully he knows that when I shout at him it's because I'm trying to guide him in the right direction.

"He's a massive asset at this football club, so we just need to keep him fit, keep him motivated and keep him hungry and who knows where he could go in his career."

MARTIN ALLEN (ex- Gillingham manager): “It was a great touch from Dominic and a great finish from Dacky but those are the areas we have been working on to try and get him in there.

"He's mature for his age and we just want to make sure he continues that form."

PETER TAYLOR (ex-Gillingham manager): “When I first got here I just thought he was a substitute who would come off the bench and put in good performances.

"He is more than that and definitely better than that. He is a player that can start matches and play 90 minutes at the same energy he has got in the first minute."

ELLIOTT BENNETT (Blackburn Rovers midfielder): “Dacky's a fantastic lad, a bit of a joker but he really turns it on when it comes to matchday.

"Him and Dom [Samuel] are really close and they've been great for the dressing room.

“It's massive to have a player like him, you need them. Dacky's got something different that others haven't got, and when he's on song he's fantastic."

DANNY GRAHAM: “You could see his quality from day one when he walked through the door,

"He's been superb, as have the other lads. I think we have made some very good signings which is pleasing.

"I think he is going to be a big player. He did ever so well for Gillingham, he scored a lot of goals and made a lot of assists.

"We seem to have a good bond already and hopefully we can work on that."

STEVE LOVELL (ex-Gillingham manager): “He will get a round of applause but at the end of the day it is us against Blackburn. We want to win the game and he won't be thinking 'Gillingham was a great start (to my career), let's let them win', that never happens.

"He will be out there to score as many as he can against us and try to get the three points."

PAUL ROBINSON (ex-Blackburn goalkeeper): “They're both, Dack and (Kemar) Roofe, vital players for both Blackburn and Leeds, and I don't think either team would swap them.

"They've both kind of found their home if you like with their respective clubs and I think they're both important as important to each team."
